Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation
Partner Finder bans child sexual abuse and exploitation. We do not allow any content or behavior that sexually exploits, abuses or endangers children. That includes:
- Sexual messages to, from or about anyone under 18.
- Asking anyone under 18 for photos, to meet up secretly, or to keep secrets from their parents.
- Grooming: building a child’s trust in order to abuse or exploit them.
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind.
Accounts involved are suspended, and we report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to law enforcement as the law requires.
What else is not allowed
- Harassing, bullying, threatening or frightening anyone.
- Sexual messages the other person has not welcomed.
- Hate toward a person because of who they are.
- Scams, spam, or pretending to be someone you are not.
- Using Partner Finder to follow or find somebody who does not want to be found.
Everyone agrees to these rules in the app before sending their first message. You can read them again at any time under More, Settings, Community rules.
How to report someone
You can report or block anyone you are connected to, straight from the app:
- From People: open People, find the person, tap More, then Report or block, then Report.
- From a chat: tap Report at the top of the chat, then Report.
Choose what the report is about (one choice is “I’m worried about a child’s safety”) and tell us what happened if you want to. Messages go straight from one phone to the other, so we cannot see them unless you choose to attach recent messages to your report. “Also block” is already ticked: a blocked person can no longer find you, see where you are, message you or pair with you again. They are not told who reported them.
If the person is no longer in your list, or you cannot use the app, email privacy@kaxon-ai.com and describe what happened. Never send sexual images of anyone under 18, even to report them.
Call your local emergency number first. Partner Finder is not an emergency service.
In the United States you can also report child sexual exploitation directly to the NCMEC CyberTipline.
What happens to a report
- We read every report. Reports about a child’s safety are marked urgent and read first.
- We look at what the report says and at the limited account records needed to decide. We do not read anyone’s messages unless someone attaches them to a report.
- We suspend accounts that break these standards.
- When a report involves child sexual abuse or exploitation, we suspend the account, report it to NCMEC, and contact the police if a child is in immediate danger. We do not copy or forward the material anywhere else.
- The person reported is never told who reported them.
- We keep a record of each report and what we did while it is needed for safety, and as the law requires.
- We cooperate with lawful requests from authorities.
Protections for ages 13–17
Teens aged 13–17 use Partner Finder through Family Access. A teen’s account is set up together with a parent or legal guardian, and it cannot be used until the guardian has confirmed it.
- The guardian approves each person the teen connects with. After two phones pair in person, nothing works between them (no finding, no location, no messages) until the guardian taps Allow. The guardian can choose Don't allow instead, or tap Stop later.
- When two teens connect, both guardians must allow it.
- A family link never shares a location by itself. The teen still chooses who can see where they are, and can stop sharing at any time.
- A guardian does not receive the teen’s messages.
- A teen can block and report anyone, just like an adult.
- A guardian can end Family Access at any time.
